Queen Mary, Queen Mary 2, Ile de France, United States, Italia, Hanseatic former Empress of Japan/Scotland), Raffaello, Oceanic and Sovereign of the Seas are just several of the many vessels he has sailed on or visited.
Besides studying and lecturing on ocean liner history, and collecting ship-related artifacts and ephemera, John is an internationally acclaimed journalist and author, specializing in business and technology. John's work has appeared in scores of publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Thejohnsextsmall Philadelphia Inquirer, Newsday, CIO Magazine, CFO Magazine, Men's Health and American Way (American Airlines' in-flight magazine). John has also written articles, columns and white papers for The Economist Intelligence Unit, the IEEE Computer Society, the National Association of Broadcasters and international consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
